SPAHR PERSONAL CARE

We are one of Nevada’s leading contracted providers of Personal Care Services (PCS) for Medicaid recipients who need personal care at home. We also specialize in taking care of private pay patients.

More Choice, More Control

Medicaid recipients with a chronic illness or disability who require assistance with non-medical support to continue to live independently at home are eligible for in-home personal care from a caregiver that we can provide or from a family member or friend that we can employ to be your caregiver. If you have full medicaid these services are at no cost to you. We bill medicaid directly. Recipients benefit because they receive care at home rather than living in an institutional setting such as a nursing home. They have more choice and more control over the care they receive and the person who provides that care.

HOW MEDICAID PERSONAL CARE WORKS

STEP 1

GET ASSESSED

Patients must first be assessed by a physical or occupational therapist from the State of Nevada, who will determine whether the patient qualifies for Medicaid’s Personal Care Services (PCS) program as well as the number of hours per week that the patient will receive.

Step 2

IDENTIFY A CAREGIVER

We can provide a qualified trained caregiver or you can have someone you know be your caregiver that will be employed by us. Most family members and friends are eligible to get paid to take care of their chronically ill or disabled loved one. Identify a caregiver, and let us do the heavy lifting.

Step 3

GET PAID

We process caregivers’ paychecks so they can focus on helping the patient.

Who Qualifies

Do you have Medicaid? Do you live in Nevada? Do you need help with everyday activities such as eating and meal preparation, bathing, grooming and dressing, using the toilet, walking and mobility, light housecleaning and shopping? Yes, you may qualify for Medicaid’s PCS program.

Are you a daughter or son, niece or nephew, sister or brother, friend or even previously employed aide of a chronically ill or disabled loved one? Yes, you qualify to get paid $16 per hour to be a caregiver.

Get Paid to be a Caregiver

We take care of the paperwork and ensure that caregivers get paid so they can focus helping a loved one maintain her/his independence in her/his own home.
